Investiture Ceremony

The Investiture Ceremony of St. Joseph’s High School for the academic session 2022 was held with great pomp and dignity.

“Leadership is not a position or a title it is action and example.”

To facilitate the implementation of the activities of the school an able team of “Student’s  council” were sworn in for the academic year 2022. The Investiture Ceremony was held with lots of enthusiasm and gusto. The elected student leaders such as Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captain, Sports Head and Cultural Committee heads were conferred with badges and sashes by our honorable Principal Madam, Sir and PTA Members. The newly elected members took an oath to be true to their posts, duties assigned to them, as leadership is an important part of the St. Joseph’s experience

Medical Checkups

During holidays, it’s easy for students to get exposed to various diseases because naturally they will engage in many predisposing activities. For this reason, it is healthy for parents and schools to ensure that students carry out compressive check-ups before returning to school as one of the measures to ensure everyone’s health..

Nature Walk/Trek

Trekking is process of building mental and physical strength in the students. Therefore ,like every year a short monsoon trek was organized to demonstrate how important it is to develop a strong bond with nature, by St. Joseph’s High School on 29th June 2022.

Christmas Celebration

Christmas is a time to give and forgive. Celebrated everywhere as a joyous family affair, we too, at school celebrated Christmas as a happy time for our children.

Tree Plantation

A tree plantation drive was recently organised at St.Joseph’s School for the studentso create awareness and spread the message of saving our planet- ‘Protecting our environment is the need of the hour’..

YogaDay Celebration

The St.Joseph School celebrated International Day on 21-06-2022 of Yoga in the school premises. Special assembly was arranged for the whole school in which the objectives of World Yoga Day was discussed among the students.

Gokulashtami Celebration

India is blessed with such a rich cultural heritage, we get to celebrate so many enriching festivals which teaches us values,  discipline and way of life and one such festival is the birth of  our beloved Lord Krishna. There is so much that we learn from Kanha’s journey teamwork, dignity of labour and about good karma. These values are inculcated in St. Joseph’s High School students as well. The entire school was transformed into land of beautiful Gopikas and natkhat Krishnas the highlights of the day was beautiful dances, songs and breaking of Dahi Handis etc.

Guru Purnima

India being one of the most ancient country is known far and wide for its culture. To depict the importance of ‘Guru’ ‘Guru Pournima’ is celebrated with a lot of respect and love by all St. Joseph’s High School students. Short skits, songs and dances were the highlight of the colourful program students also greeted their teachers with flowers and greeting cards as a token of their love and respect for their own teachers and the great Guru “Maharshi Ved Vyas”

Independence Day

St. Joseph’s High School celebrated 75th Independence Day Azadika Amrit Mahotsav Har Ghar Tiranga with great enthusiasm and happiness. This year we were blown away by the performances done by our talented, creative and hardworking children. The whole school was the  sea of tricolor, students, teachers swelled with pride, emotions and respect for our motherland India. The highlight of the day was the felicitation of Mr. Raghunath Bhandari, grandfather of Ishani Bhandari who were born on 15th August 1947. It was great honor that this year the flag hoisting was done by Mr. Bhandari as well. There was also a thrilling Mallakhamb performance, the adventurous , enchanting Lezim  performance. We also has beautiful skits, song and dance performance.

Onam Celebration

St joseph’s high school dombivli celebrated Onam: The harvest festival as well as the return of king Mahabali to kerala.
It was organised in the school’s premises amidst much fanfare involving staff and management of the school.
The celebrations started with setting up of an attractive floral decoration (pookalam) that was reminiscent of the agrarian past of Kerala, which turned out to be attractive and mesmerizing and took everyone into a world of festivity and fun.
The main attractions of the programme were kaikotikalli dances Informative speeches and surprise dance performace by the teachers of the school.
Our Principal Ma’am Archana Rodrigues addressed the gathering and conveyed greetings and wishes of the festival.
Principal Archana mam very rightly spoke about how important it is for everyone to be proud of their mother tongue.
She mentioned about how our people live in harmony inspite of diverse cultures.
During her speech she asked students to introspect and find out what are their areas of improvement and how can they overcome their shortcomings.
She lauded the commendable performances of the staff, especially Our Team of Council Members who took initiative for organizing the event and thanked everyone for making the programme a memorable one.

Science Exhibition -Spectrum

The school also conducted a Science Exhibition “Spectrum” wherein the students had an opportunity to exhibit their scientific temperament, excellence and creativity through various models, projects and craftwork etc. The effort and hard work put forth by teachers and students were greatly appreciated by parents.

Sports

Annual Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in St Joseph’s High School. The School’s playground was overflowing with zeal, passion and excitement.
